With Mercedes-Benz buying the naming rights to the Louisiana Superdome, I now know that everything has a price tag. While I’m not quite sure how I feel about the deal, I am sure that Tom Benson and Bobby Jindal will hold the press conference to confirm the name change this week.
I just wonder if they could have used a local business to buy the naming rights like the “Patton’s Hot Sausage Superdome”, the “Pineapple Big Shot Superdome” the “Hubig Pie/Elmer’s Cheese Chee Wee Superdome” or something of the sort. Whatever the case, the Dome will have a new name by the end of October which should help the state, but it will always be the Superdome.
