The Miami Heat waived veteran player Mike Miller a few days ago. With Miller being waived, the team avoided a $17 million tax payment to the NBA on his 2013-14 contract. Today, the Heat took out an ad in the paper to let the player who helped win two championships know that they appreciate what he’s done for the team on and off of the court.
