The New Orleans Hornets have been going through it this year. The team is in a rebuilding situation, but the problem is that their pieces have been experiencing injuries all year. On Wednesday night versus the Lakers, New Orleans rookie Guard Austin Rivers went down with an hand injury while attempting a steal. Rivers is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. The injury comes at a time where the rookie was starting to find himself and improve as a player.

The Hornets will also be without forward Jason Smith who underwent shoulder surgery and is expected to miss 4-6 months.
