The Pacers will be without forward Danny Granger for three months due to his knee injury. ESPN reported that Granger had to have an injection to treat patellar tendinosis in his left knee. With Granger out, the Pacers will need Paul George to take that step up to fill the shoes of the injured all-star.

The Indiana Pacers expect to be without Danny Granger for approximately the next three months after the star forward had an injection to treat patellar tendinosis in his left knee, the team announced Wednesday.

Granger had the injection on Tuesday. It was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Granger originally suffered his knee injury during last spring’s Eastern Conference semifinals. The team announced late last month that he was sidelined indefinitely because of his sore left knee.
