Word is out that suspended Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams can and will attend NFL football games. The timing of this news is kind of weird. Williams, who is serving an indefinite suspension for leading the New Orleans Saints’ pay-for-performance bounty program, recently signed a affidavit testifying against Saints players and now all of a sudden is able to attend games. ESPN reported the story by saying this:
“The NFL told Williams that he was barred from employment in the NFL, allowing him to do what he wants. Williams is not employed by the Rams, he is out of the league, and he has freedoms that any fan would,”
The news shocked many, Suspended player Jonathan Vilma said on twitter:
What a coincidence gregg williams is all of a sudden allowed to attend rams games starting today…sidedeal??? Yessir
