I feel that the Houston Rockets are one of those teams right now that with a few lucky bounces can be in the playoffs, but they also have a major issue. The Rockets have a 7’6″ broken limb tree in which they have to decide on if they want to keep the tree that can hopefully grow another healthy limb and make their forest better or let that tree go and hope their forest can grow beautiful without it. Deciding whether to keep free agent Yao Ming or not has to be one of the the toughest decisions that any GM in the league would have to consider at the moment.

A healthy Yao would surely make this team a contender, but the thing is, when is he ever healthy? Rockets fans, what you do want? Would you like to see a brittle Yao Ming back in the Toyota Center being annoyed by clutch, scoring points and blocking shots or are you ready to just cut ties with the guy and let him go elsewhere? Personally, I really like the guy and would love to see the team win with him, which I think they will do if he plays, its just that what if factor. What if he goes somewhere and plays great? What if he stays with the Rockets and takes up cap space just to dress up in a nice suit on the sidelines? Regardless of his health, taking the chance to let him go elsewhere just might be too big of a risk for Mr.Morey to do. But with the year the NBA might be missing with the lock out, this will be great for a player like big Yao. So hey, I guess the question is simple, WWMD? (What Will Morey Do?)
