The University of Houston’s Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) along with Cougar Pride will hold a fundraiser for Tulane football player Devon Walker, who suffered a cervical spine fracture in a game at Tulsa on Sept. 8, at Saturday’s season finale at 2:30 p.m.
In addition to the Houston football team wearing helmet decals to show support for Walker, SAAC members will be posted at gates 1, 7, 11 and 13 as well as inside the Coach’s Club. Anyone who makes a donation of at least $3 will receive a coupon for a free regular popcorn at the game while anyone who donates at least $10 will also receive a free reserved ticket for the Houston-Texas A&M men’s basketball game on Dec. 1.
Props to the Houston Cougars for doing a good thing for a rival school.
