The LSU Tigers have been playing some of the best football we’ve seen out of Baton Rouge in a long time. The defense is top notch, (which has been the strong point for years), the special teams are looking good, the running game is solid as usual and, for the first time in what seems like forever, the passing game looks good.

The Tigers Head coach Les Miles had to suspend his golden child, Jordan Jefferson, before the start of the season because of an altercation that I’m sure whoever is reading this article is aware of. The suspension caused the then “Heisman candidate” and starting quarterback to miss the first four games of the season in which the Tigers went 4-0 and climbed to the number one spot in the college polls.

The LSU football team has been led by senior quarterback Jarrett Lee who has completed 64.4 percent of his passes for 624 yards and 6 touchdowns. Lee has taken over the team and has been one of the best QB’s in the SEC.

The question is, with Jordan Jefferson being reinstated to the team, should he automatically get his starting job back? Jefferson was ranked at 92 after last season among the NCAA quarterbacks. With Lee playing so well, would it really help your team by adding the 92nd ranked QB back into your lineup?

This decision should be simple, but if you know anything about the LSU coach, then you know he loves Jordan Jefferson. Let’s just hope his love for one player doesn’t ruin what can be a magical season.
