The Houston Astros will remain the Houston Astros. In a released statement owner, Jim Crane said:
“You asked for change and we added several fan-friendly iniatives last week and we hope you like them,”
“We will continue to listen, and to look for additional ways to improve on and off the field.”
“One thing that we are not going to change is the name. We received strong feedback and consensus among season ticket holders and many fans, and will not change the name Astros.”
This is good news. As an Astros fan with hats and other merchandise, I would hate to be at the park wearing the Astros star after the logo has changed.
