Strong averaged 17.0 points per game for the Tigers and helped to lead the team to the SWAC regular season championship.<\/p>\n<p>TSU had more than one player to get SWAC honors this season. Tigers Forward Fred Sturdivant was named SWAC Defensive Player of the Year.
