The topic itself has been hard to stomach because it really seems as though it has been blown completely out of proportion. With the whole topic getting on my nerves, nothing hit the nerve more than hearing one of the best rappers in the country spit something so weak out his mouth regarding this so-called “Bounty Gate”. Hip hop artist Lil Wayne did a video for his Sports Corner<\/a> where he gave his 2 cents and I’m pretty sure everyone in New Orleans is ready to give him those 2 cents back.<\/p>\n In his video, Lil Wayne stated that he feels the Saints should be striped of their super bowl and Sean Peyton along with others should be fired as the NCAA would do a college football program. Well, opinion is opinion, and here’s mine.<\/p>\n The “Bounty System” that everyone is so up in arms about is known to have been implemented since the early days of football. The “knock players out the game” mindset has been here well before any of the players that are involved in the Saints case. While the verbage was probably different, this act has been around.<\/p>\n Defensive players get bigger contracts for being known as big hitters and they make sports center highlights for the “Jacked up” moments of putting that wide out flat on his back. Am I saying it’s right? No, but I’m saying it happens. The Saints problem differs because the Saints got caught.<\/p>\n
